Motorists can expect a slight reprieve at the pump as prices for high-octane 98 petrol are set to decrease from midnight on Friday, October 30. In contrast, consumers relying on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and propane will see an increase in costs over the weekend.
Starting Saturday, October 31, the price of SuperPlus 98 petrol (E5) will drop by 3.7 cents to €1.899 per litre. Meanwhile, LPG prices will rise by 2.9 cents, reaching €0.972 per litre, and residential propane will increase to €0.953 per litre. These adjustments come amid fluctuating fuel prices affecting various types of energy consumers differently.
For those monitoring fuel prices, the rates effective from October 31 are as follows: EuroSuper 95 (E10) is priced at €1.759 per litre, SuperPlus 98 (E5) at €1.899 per litre, and Diesel (B7) at €2.11 per litre. Heating fuel will be available at €1.601 per litre. Additionally, bottled propane will cost €2.459 per kilogram, and bottled butane is set at €2.262 per kilogram.
These changes in fuel pricing mean that while drivers using high-octane petrol can expect minor savings, households and businesses dependent on LPG and propane will likely face increased expenses. The new pricing structure reflects ongoing shifts in the energy market and its impact on different fuel types.
